Umar ‘The Pain’ Semata Set For World Kickboxing Title

Uganda’s Umar ‘ The Pain’ Semata will take on defending champion Egypt’s Abdallah Hussein for the World Kickboxing Federation title on April 24 at Natete Shopping Center.

Semata who is based in Thailand told reporters at the launch of the fight, “I haven’t traveled all the way from Asia to lose and I am here to deliver Pain to Hussein come that day when the two of us fight. I have watched him fight and I saw he beat our own Ronald Mugula, but that won’t happen here again and in front of my home fans.”

Semata is optimistic of a win after his victory last year at Kyadondo rugby club where he defeated Australia’s Rhys Karakyriacos to claim the World Boxing Council International.

Lash Media’s Alice Namatovu said, “We had to go for this title before he goes for his first defense of the WBC belt later this year. We are looking at this fight as a perfect way to tune him up ahead of his defense.” The media house is promoting the fight.

Uganda Kick Boxing Federation endorsed the 69.5 kgs fight.
