The Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director Ms Jennifer Musisi has appointed Mr Sam Sserunkuma as her deputy in an acting capacity.

Sserunkuma takes over from Engineer Andrew Kitaka who has been caretaking the office since the resignation of Judith Tukahirwa from that post in October last year.

Sserunkuma will hold the office until the president appoints a new deputy ED for KCCA.

Musisi told journalists in Kampala today that only the president can appoint a substantive deputy executive director on the advice of the Public Service Commission.

Kitaka returns to the Engineering and Technical services directorate as substantive director.

Musisi also made other changes appointing Fred Andema as acting Director Revenue and Dr Daniel Okello as acting Director Public Health and Environment.

Musisi, meanwhile, also said that the changes at KCCA include laying off of some employees, suspending some and reverting up to 70 employees in a bid to improve service delivery.
