COSASE Starts Probe into UPPC; Summons Minister For Presidency To Answer Auditor General’s Queries

The parliamentary committee on statutory authorities and state enterprises-COSASE, has summoned the minister for presidency, Milly Babalanda, to appear and answer queries in the auditor general’s report as of 30th June, 2022, relating to the financial statement of Uganda printing and Publishing Corporation, which she signed as the chairman, board of directors, yet she interdicted the board in 2021.

The committee chased the team of top management of UPPC that appeared before it, headed by the acting Managing Director, Kenneth Olumu, and ordered him to return with the minister who appointed him in that position.
