The Government of Uganda over Shs30 billion to use for reconstructing all bridges and roads destroyed in Kasese district.
The massive flood s in the region are attributed to the destruction of bridges and roads.
Last week, several people were killed and Kilembe Hospital forced to evacuate patients to other health facilities due to the flash floods.
During the evacuation, five patients died in the process. The floods in the district have destroyed most of the roads.
According to the Roads state minister Engineer John Byabagambi, the government is mobilizing money to reconstruct the bridges and roads.
A team of experts from the Works and Transport ministry will be leaving on Thursday to Kasese to critically analyze the situation.
