The parliamentary committee on statutory authorities and state enterprises has objected the government move to pay city tycoon Bosco Muwonge Uganda Shillings 380 billion over a 10 acre piece of land in Kisenyi to accommodate street vendors and hawkers loitering in the streets of Kampala.

During a familiarization tour of different assets disposed of wrongly and queried in the Auditor General’s report to Parliament of 2021-2022, the Chairperson of COSASE, Joel Ssenyonyi appealed to KCCA to follow lawful procedures to halt negotiations that seek to have public land sold to an individual at the expense of the tax payer.
