The Ugandan population is increasingly at threat of contracting dangerous ailments and death as a result of poor use of agro-chemicals by the farming community.
According to a senior Agriculture officer retired Francis Ssozi Buyondo, poor exposure to most of these chemicals is very dangerous and can be carcinogenic to the users.
Upon this challenge, Sasakawa Africa association in partnership with Makerere University have embarked on a countrywide training campaign of agro-input stockiests and extension workers to mitigate the adverse effects of misuse to the farmers.
